アフガン軍事作戦を綴る米軍初の電子書籍が無料配布

米陸軍統合軍事センター (Army CAC : Combined Arms Center) の 出版部門 CSI (Combat Studies Institute Press, Kansas) が、米軍初の iPad 向けインタラクティブ電子書籍 "Vanguard of Valor" を公開した。料金は無料、全 10 チャプター、248 ページ。書籍データのダウンロードに当たっては iBooks のアプリが必要。CSI は 7 つの部門から構成され、米陸軍の軍事作戦のレポートと共に軍事史を綴るシンクタンク。今回、電子書籍化されたのは従来から紙ベースで発行されていたアフガニスタンでの軍事作戦の内容。
