台湾が105mm砲搭載の新型装甲車の開発を発表

　台湾国防部(国防省)は、8輪駆動の装甲車であるCM-34クラウド・レオパルドをベースにした105mm砲搭載型の火力支援車両の開発計画を発表した。

　計画当初は120mm砲を搭載する予定であったが、議論の末、105mm砲に変更された。砲の設計の参考とするため、台湾国防部は米国から2門のM68A2 105mm砲の購入を決定した。また、車両開発の促進のため、砲の技術資料の提供も米国に要求したとのことである。この砲は米国の8輪駆動装甲車に搭載されており、車両に対して有効な4種類の砲弾を発射できる。

M900徹甲弾　　　　　　：装甲車の破壊に使用。
M456A2対戦車榴弾　　　：装甲の薄い車両の撃破に効果的。
M393A3プラスチック榴弾：陣地や機銃の破壊・狙撃手の撃破・壁の破壊に有効。
M1040キャニスター弾　　：降車して展開している歩兵の撃破に効果的

　また、これらの砲弾と機動性を利用することで、周囲に展開する味方歩兵の進路を確保することもできる。

　今回の開発の基盤となる装甲車CM-34クラウド・レオパルドについては2019年1月に台湾国防部が量産を発表したばかりだが、2年という短期間で新型車両の開発が発表されることとなった。この開発によって、台湾軍の装甲車の生産体制はどのようになるかは未定である。
松井の所見：
　台湾の装甲車が非常に早いサイクルで新型に置き換わろうとしている。この背景には中国の脅威があるのはまず間違いないだろう。機動力と火力の両立により、中国軍の水陸両用作戦に対抗できるよう尽力しているとも考えられる。台湾は兵器について他国からの購入で調達するのはなく、参考のためのサンプル納入の位置付けで購入している点は素晴らしいと思う。リスクの高い切迫した状況の中でも、自国の技術基盤の発展を忘れない姿勢は国として流石である。
